Great Malvern's first Food Festival received a great response from the public on Saturday 28th May 2011.There were steady crowds through the day and many stallholders reported having a bumper day. The footfall in the town was well up with the Tourist Information Centre having one of its busiest Saturdays in recent times.
Heart of England Fine Food brought along their mobile cookery theatre and their expert and very passionate chefs demonstrated some of their favourite recipes. Demonstrations included vegetarian cookery with Our Lizzy Cookery School from Malvern, a hearty breakfast with Farmstay and Sri Lankan inspired recipies from Asiri foods - a new producer based in Malvern. Entertainment on the day included live music, 'food' juggling and stilt walking.
Around twenty stalls set up in Abbey Road & Belle Vue Island displaying and selling high quality food from some of the district's top producers - many of whom sold out!
