Malvern Pride is being organised by a group of local residents and business-people to celebrate the LGBT+ community in and around Malvern. It will be held on Saturday July 27th between 12 Noon and 5pm in Priory Park. The theme for our very first Pride is ‘community’
and our aim is to promote inclusivity and equality for everyone.
The event is being sponsored by both the District and Town Councils, and also by local businesses large and small from Qinetiq and Fortis Living to Austin & Co and Friar Street Insurance. Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have been immensely supportive during the planning of the event and will be there on the day with fire engines!
Malvern Pride will feature local musicians and performers such as saxo solo Mandy Harding and local band Ya Ya Logic. The show will also feature a speech by LGBTQ+ advocate and life coach / social media celebrity Char Bailey and as Rocky Horror Picture Show is in town at
Malvern Theatres, we are hoping that the cast will come and join in the fun. There will be a range of stalls from food trucks to local businesses and groups, with plenty for the kids too from face painting and glitter, to hair accessories, games and an onsite playground!
Malvern pride want to make this an amazing event and to do this they need more donations. If you would like to be involved in this inspiring community you can donate now on their JustGiving page.
There are other ways to get involved with the day! Malvern pride are still accepting sponsors for the event. Contact them now on their website or social media to find out more.
