Following on from the sell-out success of the socially distanced, outdoor Malvern Plant and Garden Fair in September, the Three Counties are delighted to announce the return of RHS Malvern Spring Festival next year, which will welcome back passionate gardeners from May 5-9 2021.
Heralding the start of the gardening calendar, RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2021 will be running for an additional fifth day next year, with reduced visitor numbers and Morning or Afternoon ticket options. The revised measures will ensure plenty of space for visitors to relax and enjoy the fabulous show gardens, specialist plant nurseries, alfresco eateries and lots of home and garden retail therapy.
The traditional Floral Marquee will be reimagined with the open-air Specialist Nurseries Arena, where visitors will have space and time to select from a wide range of the finest plants, from over 70 RHS-award-winning nurseries and national collection holders.
The 90-acre Three Counties Showground in Worcestershire, with its stunning backdrop of the Malvern Hills, offers the perfect location for Garden Designers to express their talents and create a collection of exciting Show Gardens for visitors to admire. For those requiring inspiration on a smaller scale, the popular Shipping Container Gardens will be returning in 2021 to provide a range of fresh and innovative design ideas.
Visitors in need of refreshment, will be able to sit and enjoy the views of the Malvern Hills in the spacious alfresco dining area, and choose from a world of flavours, offered by the best local food producers and street food providers. Once revitalised, visitors can continue with their retail therapy in the Plant Arcades and from the array of lifestyle and gardenalia stands.
As always at RHS Malvern, there will be gardening advice aplenty, delivered by a host of celebrity gardening guests who will be presenting a selection of lively talks and demonstrations each day, from the spacious open sided Festival Theatre.
Tickets are advanced booking only and numbers will be restricted, Three Counties are advising early booking to avoid disappointment. Tickets will go on sale to the public from 30 October. Visit www.threecounties.co.uk/whats-on for more information.
Commenting, Head of Shows, Di Walton said, “We were absolutely thrilled to be announcing the return of RHS Malvern Spring Festival in May 2021, after the disappointment we all felt for our visitors after the Covid cancellation last year. The highly successful Malvern Plant and Garden Fair we held in September 2020, enabled us explore how best to create a spacious and exciting event that allows for social distancing and compliance with all current safety measures, while still offering a fabulously exciting gardening event. We are really looking forward to welcoming our visitors and exhibitors back in May.”
Three Counties has been awarded the VisitEngland ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry charter mark. This verifies that the Showground meets the Government and public health guidance on Covid-19 and that we have all the required health and safety processes in place to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit.
In addition, Three Counties has ensured there will be spacious parking allocations to allow for social distancing, new safety information signage and hand sanitiser stations situated throughout the showground. The designated toilet areas and cleaning procedures have been enhanced.
