The Glebe Cookery Theatre at the Great Malvern Food Festival on Bank Holiday Monday 27 May will host a variety of cookery demonstrations from some fantastic locally sourced chefs’ who’ll be cooking up specially prepared feasts in the kitchen as well as an internationally acclaimed chocolate food artist.

kindly supported by Waitrose, The Glebe cookery Theatre will feature BBC Hereford & Worcester’s radio presenter Andrew Easton. Andrew will be our compère for the day hosting a great cookery demonstration and ‘Talks & Tastings’ foodie festival programme.

The cookery theatre kitchen will start cooking earlier at this year’s Great Malvern Food Festival, starting the day at 10:30am with Marius, the Head Chef at Aldwyn’s of Ellersie, Malvern’s newest top restaurant, which is located on the edge of Great Malvern at the new Audley Ellerslie development. 

Marius Arlauskas has had a passion for food since he was a young child, and his passion has enabled him to travel far and wide, where he’s learned new techniques and about different ingredients to create delicious dishes found on menus from around the globe. Now a top chef at Malvern’s newest restaurant Aldwyn’s at Ellerslie, Marius loves cooking top-notch cuisine served in luxurious surroundings. At the Great Malvern Food Festival, Marius will be kick-off our cookery demonstrations with a choice of healthy salads – perfect for the summer ahead!

Lizzy from Our Lizzy Cookery School at 12pm
Lizzy from Our Lizzy Cookery School will be cooking up a vegan feast in the cookery demo theatre enticing people to be healthier by using more beans and pulses in their home-cooked food. Matt Slocombe from The Crown inn at 1:15pm & 2:45pm
Matt Slocombe, a Saturday morning chef on BBC Hereford & Worcester will be cooking a starter and a main course.  Matt owns The Crown at Woolhope, Herefordshire, which is a traditional village pub run by himself and his wife Annalisa Slocombe whose aim is to work with local farms and producers to serve up the very best that Herefordshire has to offer. Prudence Staite from Food is Art at 4:45pm
Back from popular demand is Prudence Staite from Food is Art who creates edible food art. Prudence is an artist that uses food to create her artwork. She has been using food substances as art materials for over 15 years. She is internationally known for her work with food, especially her work with chocolate, and her creations have been well documented in the media.
