On Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June Upton upon Severn has a town-full of Jazz to keep you busy and entertained.

On Friday evening there will be some free to enter jazz. Head to the Muggery to hear John Beckingham’s JB4. The ‘new’ White Lion Hotel will present jazz too with Jane Williams Quintet.
The festival officially kicks of at 11 am on the Saturday morning with Opening and Umbrellas. Martin Allen and Upton Primary School will open the festival , with a performance by the school’s Rising Stars. Decorated umbrellas will be judged and prizes awarded to young people and adults.
The festival office will be open on the Saturday and Sunday tom 10am – 5pm for those with tickets to collect their wristbands.
Free to enter Jazz around town:
At The White Lion Hotel with you can enjoy Jazz on all three days, on a stage in the garden. Boathouse; at Mojitos; and at Bar 7 will also host free jazz across the weekend.
Look out for Hotsy Totsy, Dorine de Wit and Tremé; Jeremy Huggett’s Boogie Band; Richard Leach’s Street Band, Swing from Paris, Alex Clarke Quartet, Fiddlebop, Christian Cox, Max Dmytruk ( Ukraine) and more
Jazz Fringe at the Swan Hotel
The team at the Swan Hotel will host the fifth Upton Jazz Fringe with wall to wall music on the new stage Saturday 11.00am to Sunday at 8.00pm. Any thing goes at the Fringe and there is a varied programme with some great local performers. GAT Decorum, Manteca, Blues and Soul from the SugarDaddies and jazz funk from Tunehead.
Upton Jazz Rising Stars
At the Baptist Church see the Upton Jazz Rising Stars with 4 or 5 youth/school bands and a warm welcome, tasty refreshments, an open mic and a special performance by Amelia K Dance Academy on Sunday afternoon. The Jazz Church Service is at 11.00am on Sunday.
The ticketed portion of the festival is now sold out, but there is so much jazz for all across the weekend.
