Discover Christmas events across The Malverns this festive season. From late night shopping and sparkling pantomimes to festive crafts, traditional carols and Christmas parties there are stockings full of wonderful happenings this merry time of year.

Our local playhouses have pulled out all the stops for this year’s Christmas programming. At Malvern Theatres, on November 23rd, The King comes to town with a special festive edition of the hit production The Elvis Years at Christmas. This glittering show is two hours of rock’n’roll favourites including those nostalgic holiday tunes that Elvis loved to croon. From 8 December to 1 January the wonderful fairy-tale pantomime Beauty and The Beast will star Melanie Walters from Gavin and Stacey as Fairy Bon Bon and Malvern’s Favourite Funny Man Mark James as Louis La Plonk. The Regal in Tenbury Wells holds its annual pantomime from 14 – 31 December, telling the all comedy tale of Robin Hood. At The Coach House theatre take little ones to see colourful and interactive family pantomimes The Nutcracker or Aladdin.

There are markets and late-night shopping opportunities aplenty over November and December, make the most of the abundant local artists and makers in the area for your Christmas gifting this year. There’s Great Malvern Christmas Festival, Christmas in Upton, Tenbury Christmas Markets and late-night shopping, Festive Family Market and late opening studios at The Fold, and a festive edition of the popular Great Malvern Farmers Market.

Christmas in The Malverns is unlike anywhere else and it’s our unique local events and activities that make Christmas here so magical. Discover evening Winter Wonderland sessions at the quirky Ralph Court Gardens, enjoy the traditional Mistletoe Eve and Mistletoe Festival in Tenbury Wells, sing classic carols in the gorgeous surrounds of Great Malvern Priory or just listen to Powick Community Choir in the spectacular Stanbrook Abbey.
