The charity ‘Raising Dementia Awareness’ present An Evening of Music and Poetry
with Martin Riley, Corinne Frost and Heather Wastie
The evening will be a mixed programme of lighthearted music and poetry with Poet Heather Wastie, Pianist Martin Riley and Cello player Corinne Frost. They all are trained in and perform music to and with people living with dementia as part of the Arts Uplift’s dementia programmes.
Heather who was poet laureate for Worcestershire in 2015/2016 will perform some of her humorous poetry and songs on her accordion, Corinne will perform her popular British set with music such as ‘Land of Hope and Glory’, the ‘Dambusters March’ and ‘Sleepy Lagoon’ and Martin Riley will perform some of his new music from his latest album and a whizz through music’s history from the popular classics to the present day as well as some improvisation thrown in!
