Event Description

Understanding how white people benefit from white privilege is one of the most fundamental (and often challenging) aspects of beginning anti-racism work. Drawing from my experience of recognising my own White Privilege, I will define it and give extra information.

Rev. Danielle Wilson – I am a OneSpirit minister, long term USA ex-pat living in the United Kingdom for over 50 years. I grew up in an ultra-racist household in Dallas, Texas in the 1950s & 1960ideass. I was drawn to examining my own inherited racism after the murder of George Floyd in the USA in May 2020. Having committed to a virtual book study group that summer on “Me & White Supremacy”, I began my anti-racism journey. This has led me to leading virtual book study groups as well as delivering Intro to White Supremacy talks to the Unitarian Women’s Group and the Unitarian Ministers’ Fellowship in October 2022.
