Colwall’s Favourite Hills and Views
9 miles; allow 5 hours
This walk brings together many of Colwall’s best views and is within the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The first part of the walk offers views towards the ramparted Iron Age fort called British Camp, or the Herefordshire Beacon. Then it is a steep walk up to the ridge of the hills towards the Wyche cutting before the route drops down to the Downs school where the poet W H Auden taught in the 1930s.The route circumnavigates Upper Colwall, Colwall Stone and Colwall Green and although some parts are steep and there are a number of stiles, walkers will be rewarded with some beautiful vistas.
