Event Description
Walk No: MWF95
Colwall’s Industrial Past
3½ miles; allow 2½ hours
The arrival in Colwall of the railway in the mid C19th resulted in the industrialisation of parts of the village. Although only a few vestiges remain, the walk will contain descriptions giving a fascinating insight into why, where, and how the industry developed.
The walk will be taken at a gentle pace, through beautiful fields, woods and orchards on generally good pathways (some rutted field edges) with only a couple of mild gradients. No stiles.
Refreshments and afternoon teas can be purchased from The Colwall Park Hotel at the end of the walk.
