Event Description

Walk No: MWF35
History in Malvern Wells and Little Malvern
5 miles; allow 3 hours

We walk through the Nature Reserve and take a path leading to Abbey School, then onto Kings Road where we pass an old cider house that was a stage coach stop. We head up Richmond Pitch to Holywell Road and climb past an old quarry incline railway to reach Wynds Point and the home of two famous people. We pass the Malvern Hills Hotel (chance for a toilet stop if required), cross the British Camp car park and head down past the reservoir and Tinkers Hill to join a lane up to Little Malvern Court and Little Malvern Priory Church. We join a field path to Watery Lane and back to our starting point.

There are some steep and difficult sections; 5 stiles. Stout walking boots or shoes are recommended.

Refreshments are available at the Sally’s Place at British Camp car park.
