Old Hills and River Severn
8 miles; allow 5 hours including lunch
A scenic and varied route in woods and fields, featuring a pleasant stretch of the river Severn. From Old Hills, the walk heads south, to pass through the village of Madresfield. Cutting across fields, we come out on the road leading to the Rhydd and reach the river. We continue above and along the river’s west bank, via the hamlet of Clevelode, and then mainly through farmland back to the car park.
Mostly flat, (one hill) on good paths, with some stiles.
Bring drinks and a packed lunch.
