An easy and very varied walk from Gardiners Quarry, giving views across Herefordshire to the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. It passes through the attractive village of Colwall, the home of the Victorian engineer, Stephen Ballard, whose impact on the village can still be seen today. The walk continues through wonderful open countryside, along meandering streams and in woodland until, after a short climb, refreshments may be obtained at the Kettle Sings café.
