Walk No: T02A
Worcestershire Way Day One: Bewdley to Abberley
10 miles; allow 6 hours
We start on the River Severn, in the beautiful Georgian town of Bewdley, once home of Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin. We follow, closely at times, the route of highly popular Severn Valley steam railway. We continue on a varied, scenic and undulating walk to Ribbesford, and then head to Heightington before passing through woodland on narrow winding lanes down to Abberley Hill.
Today please park at the meeting point at Abberley Village Hall. A minibus will take us to Bewdley and we walk back to Abberley.
Bring enough food and drink for the day.
Please book T02A if you wish to walk just this section.
