Event Description
An easy, if long, level walk along the banks of Shakespeare’s Avon to the attractive Abbey town of Tewkesbury where we’ll take a coffee break at the edge of the bustling docks.
We then pick up the river Severn and follow the river bank paths for a few miles until we take a country path crossing Shuthonger Common and leading to the attractive little village of Church End.
From Church End, after short walk, we re-join the River Avon and return to Twyning where with the benefit of two adjacent pubs, well deserved refreshments may be obtained.
