Event Description

A lovely scenic walk with much to enjoy.

We ascend steadily on a good path to reach the historic perimeter carriage track, dating from the Victorian period, and take an easy route to North Hill, the second highest top. A moderately easy ascent, via Sugar Loaf Hill, takes us on to reach the Worcestershire Beacon, the highest hill at 1275 ft., to enjoy wonderful 360 deg views, including the Black Mountains in Wales, and much of the Cotswolds.

The easy descent, again on well-trodden paths, takes us to the iconic St Ann’s Well, providing an introduction to Malvern’s fascinating spa and water cure heritage. Our return is via a low level contoured wide track just above Malvern on the east side of the ridge.
