Event Description
This walk is open to blind and visually impaired walkers with guide dogs for a free run. It aims to encourage the blind and visually impaired to enjoy the beauty of the Malvern Hills and is organised by the local group Sense Adventures.
Sense Adventures volunteers guide each participant on a one-to-one basis. The pairings are changed throughout the walk so that it’s a sociable experience.
The walk takes us up on to the ridge of the Malvern Hills and along to British Camp which we will climb. This is a steep climb but a picnic stop at the summit is possible. We then re-trace our steps to the car park where another stop at Sally’s kiosk is possible, before returning to Gardiners Quarry.
The paths are accessible with guides, are suitable for 2 walkers and work well for a walker and a guide. No stiles but some uneven ground, manageable for the sight impaired with a guide.
Booking fee waived for all participants, including volunteers.
