The concert opens with a delightful symphony by the 18th century English composer William Boyce, continues with Bach’s glorious Violin Concerto in A minor followed by a superb symphony by Mozart. After the interval they will play Tchaikovsky’s sublime Andante Cantabile, a work by Saint-Saëns inspired by the Spanish dance Habanera, and will end the programme with the lively Romanian Folk Dances by Bartók.
