Strange Futures & Malvern Cube invite you to “The Last Restaurant”, a unique performance event for just thirty guests at a time.
Combining live performance, clowning, stories, digital animation and gentle audience participation (but only if you choose to engage with it!), The Last Restaurant brings together the quirky performance skills of Strange Futures Theatre Company with the inspirational creativity of local performers and writers, alongside the work of young people from St Matthias Primary School in collaboration with animation students from the University of Worcester. Together, they provide “food for thought” about the connections between food, stories and the landscape.
The Last Restaurant exemplifies Strange Futures Theatre Company’s characteristic funny and physical performance style whilst addressing serious environmental issues.
The event is part of a year-long community engagement project called “The Whole World Can Come to Dinner” and has been made possible by an award from the Postcode Local Trust, a grant-awarding charity funded completely by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The event is free to attend, but there will be a box for audience members to leave food donations for the Malvern Food Bank instead of paying for a ticket. Audiences are asked to wear a face covering during the performance and follow any other government instructions at the time.
Performances will take place at 7.30pm on 27 January and 4pm on 29 January 2022. Please follow the link to the Malvern Cube website for more information and to book.
