Event Description
Come and join our torchlit Winter Wassail Celebration.
It starts at 5.30 at the village hall for registration and a torchlit procession will go from there to Pursers Orchard where there will be a small bonfire, decorated trees and food and drink for sale.
The ceremonies will be led by our very own ‘Green Man’.
We will have a chap juggling fire walking on stilts. Will he be doing both at the same time? Come along and see!
We will have Morris Dancing and music.
We will feature the Serenata Singers who will lead the crowd singing and who will give us the first public performance of the newly composed Welland Wassail song/hymn/anthem.
We will have hot dogs and burgers, and marshmallows to roast over a fire pit.
You will be able to buy sparklers to wave around the bonfire
and of course….
finally, you will be able to buy cider, mulled cider, and apple juice.
Wear your wellies, bring a torch, bring something to make a noise with! Evil spirits don’t like bells, rattles, whistles, pots and pan.
Tickets in advance ONLY.
£2.00 each (adult) and £1 (children) and are available from Ticketsource or the village store (cash only).
