Event Description

This one-woman play, starring Liz Grand as Agatha Christie and written by Chris Jaeger, explores the mystery of Agatha Christie’s eleven lost days.

Christie was one of the greatest thriller writers of all time and certainly the most prolific. In 1926, her crashed car was found in Surrey and the renowned author was missing, presumed dead by many, for eleven days. She was eventually found at a luxury hotel in Yorkshire and claimed, as she maintained for the rest of her life, that she was suffering from amnesia and remembered nothing of what happened. The press and the police were sceptical.

Did Agatha Christie lie and, if so, why? Did she genuinely suffer from amnesia or was it a publicity stunt? Or was there a darker secret involved that was to affect her for the rest of her life? The answer to all of these questions will, as in all good thrillers, be revealed in this gripping play from On A Role Theatre Company.
