DESCRIPTION:Midlands Air Ambulance Charity will welcome the public to enjoy a free family day out at its annual Strensham Airbase Open Day on Sunday 16 August 2026\, providing a unique opportunity to meet the crew behind its lifesaving service and explore its operations. \nBased at Strensham’s Northbound Services near junction 8 on the M5 motorway\, the charity’s airbase is strategically located on the Worcestershire and Gloucestershire border\, ensuring rapid responses to patients across the Midlands. \nTaking place from 10am to 4pm\, the open day offers visitors the chance to go behind the scenes of the charity’s lifesaving service. Guests can explore the charity’s helicopters and critical care cars\, meet the pilots\, doctors\, and critical care paramedics\, and gain an insight into the advanced pre-hospital emergency service provided across Worcestershire\, Gloucestershire\, Herefordshire\, and the wider Midlands. \nThere is no cost to attend and the day will be packed with plenty of family entertainment\, including the charity’s interactive demonstration helicopter pod for children\, emergency response demonstrations\, artisan stalls from local businesses\, and refreshments available throughout the day.
