This event is perfect for visitors of all ages! \nFeeling fruity? Take a bag and select your own apples straight from the trees. The majority at The Firs are cider apples\, but there are a few tasty eaters and cookers too. A small donation is all that’s required to take home your hand-picked harvest. \nCome for the apples\, stay for the stories\, and leave with a taste of autumn! \nThis event is free and booking is not needed\, but normal admission fee applies. \nOpening times\nThe Firs is open Friday – Monday (10am – 4.30pm) until 2 November\, when opening hours change – check the website before you travel

Become a creature of the night as you climb through the canopy on a high ropes course lit with colourful lights. Test your skills on tree top crossings and experience the thrill of a zip wire ride into the darkness. Please return to collect a small prize during opening times (10am – 4pm). \nThere are twenty ghosts hanging around the town centre shop windows – you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled to help you identify the Halloween phrase. \nTrail sheets are also available from participating shops. If you dare to enter\, you’ll be rewarded!

Your small prize will be available to collect when the TIC is open 10am – 1pm & 1.30pm – 4pm. \nTrail sheets are also available from participating shops\, as well as the Tudor House Museum. If you dare to enter\, you’ll be rewarded! \nAs you wander around the town centre\, we hope you enjoy looking out for the Halloween-themed masks on show in shop windows\, which have all been decorated and coloured by pupils from local primary schools. DESCRIPTION:Simultaneously stirring and soulful\, Tamar Williams tells stories in Welsh and English. She has performed all over the world: in schools\, museums\, and theatres\, on beaches and (the strangest place to date!) once on the top deck of the number 45 bus in Birmingham. Her repertoire is rooted in Welsh and Celtic mythology and folktales\, as well as stories she has collected on her travels. She seeks to take hold of the old tales and reshape them for contemporary audiences.
