DESCRIPTION:Malvern Theatres Stage Company presents A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens\, adapted and directed by Nic Lloyd. \nOn a snowy Christmas Eve\, the mean-spirited Ebeneezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his business partner Jacob Marley\, who is weighed down by the accumulated chains of a lifetime of greed. Marley tells Scrooge he will be visited by three further spirits\, each of whom will offer Scrooge an unsettling vision of himself\, as well as an opportunity to change his ways … before it’s too late. \nDickens’s most famous short story sold out in just five days following its publication in 1843. It has never been out of print since and has been the subject of many film\, stage and television adaptations. Given that it also incorporates time travel\, redemption\, humour\, pathos and some of the best-known fictional characters in the world\, little wonder it has remained perennially popular since its initial publication in 1843. The very first public recital of the story was by none other than Dickens himself in Birmingham in December 1853. \nThis production recreates that event and showcases award-winning actor Jonathan Goodwin portraying Dickens in this one-man show. Distilling the essence of this most festive of tales\, the audience will meet Ebenezer Scrooge\, Jacob Marley\, Bob Cratchit and the three ghostly visitants who call upon the miserly misanthrope one Christmas Eve night.

DESCRIPTION:Winter Glow\, the biggest festive event in the Three Counties\, returns to the Malvern Showground for 2025 with its most affordable ticket offering yet. \nThere is a wide range of attractions for the whole family to enjoy\, including the region’s largest covered ice rink\, a spectacular 2km light trail with over 20 dazzling installations\, and personalised Santa’s Grotto experiences. Families can also take on the glow-in-the-dark 18-hole UV golf course. DESCRIPTION:Malvern’s favourite market is back in the grounds of Great Malvern Priory. Now in its 19th year\, Great Malvern Traditional Christmas Market promises over 60 stalls featuring high quality artisan arts\, crafts\, food and drink. The market is being organised by Boffy Arts Markets\, the local family company behind the town’s longest running and best-loved arts markets\, along with the farmers’ market\, Festival of Stories and Food Festival. The market will all be located outdoors within the beautiful grounds of Great Malvern Priory Church. Larger than usual\, the market will not only feature one of the biggest line-ups of traders seen in the town\, but will also have lots to see and do including hot food\, live music and face-painting. \nAlso\, there’s lots going on in the Priory itself on the day. \nThe market will run from 10am – 6pm \nWhilst you’re in town\, make sure you explore all our independent retailers and stop off for a bite to eat at a choice of eateries. \nThere’s also lots of live entertainment\, markets at Belle Vue Terrace and Malvern Library\, as well as another market in the Lyttelton Rooms.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday 22 November 2025 from 10am – 6pm for a fun-packed day\, all building up to the annual Great Malvern Christmas Lights Switch On. \nEnjoy the winter wonderland-themed day in Great Malvern with live entertainment across the town\, local trader market in Abbey Road and in the library\, workshops\, and our regular visit from Father Christmas in his grotto at Great Malvern Library (open 10am – 4.30pm\, with last entry at 4pm). \nThe excitement builds until 5.30pm\, when the pantomime celebrities will be switching on the Christmas lights from Belle Vue Island following the parade up Church Street. Live entertainment will be taking place all afternoon on the BBC Hereford and Worcester Stage on Belle Vue Island\, so there there will be plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. \nThere are many fantastic independent shops in town to explore as part of your festive day out\, along with a mouth-watering range of eateries. \nPlus\, take a look at the Traditional Christmas Market in the Priory Grounds and the Artisan Craft Market in the Lyttelton Rooms.
