SUMMARY:Round the Horne
DESCRIPTION:From the producers of the UK tour of Hancock’s Half Hour comes another radio comedy classic live on stage\, celebrating 60 years of Round the Horne. \nFrom 1965 to 1968 there was no bigger radio programme in the country than the ground-breaking Round the Horne. For 30 minutes once a week on a Sunday afternoon\, audiences of up to 15 million people would gather around their radio sets to listen to Kenneth Horne and his merry crew get up to all sorts of mischief. \nNoted for its movie spoofs and hilarious regular characters such as Rambling Sid Rumpo\, Charles and Fiona\, J. Peasemold Gruntfuttock\, and Julian and Sandy\, Round the Horne was one of the biggest and best radio comedy shows of all time. It has stood the test of time and still endures today\, 60 years after its debut. \nSo come and take a step back in time to the BBC’s Paris Studios and experience this comedy classic live. \nOriginal scripts written by Barry Took and Marty Feldman. \nCompiled and directed by Tim Astley.

SUMMARY:Griff Rhys Jones: The Cat’s Pyjamas
DESCRIPTION:Griff Rhys Jones is on the road once again with the second tour of his much-anticipated brand new stand-up show\, following an overwhelmingly successful run in 2024. \nJoin Griff as he shares more funny observations and comic stories in this ever-changing show that sees him ramble on the developing national permacrisis. Age. Family. Fraud. Nostalgia. The Tik Tok generation. Crocodile smuggling and noodling in Australia. Travel\, dogs\, hotels\, drink and midnight trains. He takes questions from the audience and lets rip as his associations wander. \nThe Cat’s Pyjamas follows Griff’s highly successful previous international tour\, All Over The Place\, which saw him play to capacity audiences across the United Kingdom\, Australia and New Zealand. Away from the stage\, Griff is best known for his numerous TV appearances\, including as the star of ten series of Smith & Jones and one quarter of the ground-breaking Not The Nine O’Clock News\, whilst his various documentary series have been both popular with audiences and critically acclaimed.

SUMMARY:FEAST (Festival of Equality in Arts & Society through Theatre) 2025
DESCRIPTION:FEAST Theatre Festival opens your eyes to new and emerging theatrical performances from around the world. Curated by Malvern-based Reaction Theatre Makers\, FEAST returns for its ninth year in 2025\, with events taking place in venues across Malvern between 8 & 16 November. \nThe FEAST journey has taken theatre from Birmingham’s bold\, risk-taking scene to The Vaults\, Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe\, and Stockton International Riverside Festival. FEAST will now bring inspiration from these diverse places into this year’s event\, created to share with the Malvern community. \nAt its heart\, FEAST is for everyone. Much of its work is about creating opportunities with people who have learning differences – welcoming them not only as audiences but as artists and collaborators. Inspired by these influences and this commitment to inclusivity\, the Festival of Equality in Arts and Society through Theatre was created. \nHosted at the incredible Malvern Cube and now expanding into the town\, FEAST is about gathering together to share performance\, reflection\, laughter – and the possibility for change. \nTo see everything there is to look forward to at FEAST this year\, visit our blog page\, where you’ll find a chronological list of events.

SUMMARY:Rhod Gilbert and the Giant Grapefruit
DESCRIPTION:When life gives Rhod lemons… \nIn his last show ‘The Book of John’\, Rhod was dealing with some pretty pungent life citrus\, and an idiot called John. Little did he know that things were about to turn even more sour… \nBut Rhod’s not bitter; he’s bouncing back and feeling remarkably zesty. \nHilariously dark\, passionate and way too personal\, this is classic Gilbert\, squeezing every last drop out of life’s latest curveballs…with a little help from an old adversary.

SUMMARY:U3A Showcase a selection of 'Matchbox Theatre' Scenes by Michael Frayn (FEAST)
DESCRIPTION:The Third Agers are members of the University of the Third Age Drama Group and will perform\, with script in hand\, a selection of short scenes from Michael Frayn’s ‘Matchbox Theatre’. There will be laughter\, bewilderment and reflection as the scenes examine the joys and pitfalls of being human and the complexities of how we communicate. \nDoes confusion arise when you overhear the conversations of others? Can people speak many words but also say absolutely nothing? Do patients cause illness\, and where is the jam in Waitrose? These and other questions may\, or may not\, be answered. \nPrepare to be amused by the foibles of how others talk\, but perhaps you’ll find a grain of truth about yourselves. \nEntry: Free (donations welcome)

DESCRIPTION:As the Snow Falls introduces us to Kenneth and Sam – two men from very different cultural backgrounds\, both abandoned by society in very different ways. Notwithstanding their differences\, they are ultimately brought together by shared grief and a love of music. \nThis powerful comedic drama examines the shifting social landscape and its impact on a frequently overlooked demographic. Through the lens of an ever-diminishing pub culture\, Kenneth and Sam’s unexpected connection arises from one man’s desperate search for meaning. \nThe play explores themes of cultural starvation\, male isolation\, suicide\, toxic masculinity\, and division through technology – ultimately questioning what happens when the arts are stripped away from the working class. \nThe play was written and is performed by Tom Messmer (DFL and America Ground The Musical) and Aidan McConville (A Single Man). \nBrightDog Theatre have proudly partnered with the men’s suicide prevention charity ANDYSMANCLUB to support people on the vital issues and themes explored in the play. \nPlease note this production contains strong language. \nTickets: £10 – available to book online at Ticketsource \nAge: 14s and under to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over

SUMMARY:Mr Vast (FEAST)
DESCRIPTION:Mr Vast – aka Henry Sargeant – trained as an actor and ‘dark clown’ before veering off into the world of music as frontman for the legendary Wevie Stonder\, described by the BBC as ‘the Monty Python of electronic music’. Building on the same brand of anarchic comedy and wild fusion of musical influences\, Mr Vast is a one-man show that defies easy categorisation: a slapstick cabaret\, a surrealist happening\, an avant-garde concert\, a tragicomic carnival\, an ecstatic ritual. \nTickets: £10 – available to book online at Ticketsource

With the help of a feisty fairy\, a kind-hearted king\, and a very large magical plant\, Jack discovers that heroes come in all shapes and sizes. \nSuitable for all ages\, this is the ideal festive treat for families\, friends\, and anyone ready to enjoy the magic of Christmas. \nDon’t miss out – book your tickets now for the show that will have everyone talking! \nShow times\nThursday 11 December 2025\, 7pm\nFriday 12 December 2025\, 1pm & 6pm\nSaturday 13 December 2025\, 2.30pm & 7pm\nSunday 14 December 2025\, 1pm & 5pm\nMonday 15 December 2025\, 10.15am & 6pm\nTuesday 16 December 2025\, 10.15am & 6pm\nWednesday 17 December 2025\, 1pm (Audio Described) & 6pm \nThursday 18 December 2025 – No performances \nFriday 19 December 2025\, 10.15am & 6pm\nSaturday 20 December 2025\, 2.30pm & 7pm\nSunday 21 December 2025\, 1pm & 5pm (BSL)\nMonday 22 December 2025\, 1pm & 6pm\nTuesday 23 December 2025\, 1pm & 6pm\nWednesday 24 December 2025\, 1pm & 5pm \nThursday 25 December 2025 – No performances \nFriday 26 December 2025\, 1pm & 6pm\nSaturday 27 December 2025\, 2.30pm & 7pm\nSunday 28 December 2025\, 1pm & 5pm\nMonday 29 December 2025\, 1pm & 6pm\nTuesday 30 December 2025\, 1pm & 6pm\nWednesday 31 December 2025\, 1pm & 5pm \nThursday 1 January 2026 – No performances \nFriday 2 January 2026\, 10.30am (Relaxed) & 2.30pm\nSaturday 3 January 2026\, 2.30pm & 7pm\nSunday 4 January 2026\, 1pm & 5pm
