DESCRIPTION:Calling budding local artists: Malvern Skyline Productions are holding an exciting competition in the run-up to the premiere of their play in October at Malvern Theatres. \nThe new play\, Storm Over Our Town – Malvern’s Rebel Dame\, is a celebration of the fascinating life of the renowned artist Dame Laura Knight\, who spent much of her life in the Malvern area. \nAll you need to do to enter the competition is complete a landscape painting of anywhere in the Malvern Hills District. It can be in any medium you like. Then send a photo of your work to Rachel Tobin\, the play’s director. \nThe closing date for entries is Saturday 5 September 2026. A selection (if possible all) of the photos will be projected for the audience to view at the start of each performance. There will be a prize for the overall winner of two free tickets to a performance and a personal meet and greet with the cast at the end of the show. \nEntries to Rachel Tobin: racheldianetobin@gmail.com \nPerformances of Storm Over Our Town are on Saturday 3 October 2026 (5pm & 7pm) and Sunday 4 October 2026 (3pm) – book your tickets via the Malvern Theatres website. \nN.B. The location of this event is given as Malvern Theatres as the play will be performed in Studio One at Malvern Theatres\, with projection of entries taking place beforehand. However\, the competition itself does not take place there; participants are free to paint at a location of their choice\, then submit a high-resolution photo of their finished work by email.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at Adhisthana to meditate with others and develop your ability to work creatively with your mind. You can either learn to meditate from scratch and develop the foundations for a daily practice or join the regulars to build on what you know and discover how to apply yourself effectively in meditation. \nAs of December 2025\, classes are being held on Mondays from 7.30pm – 9.30pm and are open to participants of all levels of experience. Please note there is no class on 22 or 29 December 2025. \nYou are welcome to arrive 15 minutes before the start. You’ll be greeted at the entrance by someone who will direct you where to go and help you with any queries. \nThe class takes place in a room on the first floor and is\, as a consequence\, unfortunately not accessible. \nIn the first half of the session\, we meditate together; this is followed by a tea break. DESCRIPTION:Tenbury Museum will feature informative special displays of people who contributed to the history of the town through their service or creative talents. \nMr Edward Goff\, who endowed the Victorian School which houses the museum\, will be one of the people featured in special displays of archival photographs and informative text. Other names will include James Cranston\, the designer of the town’s iconic Pump Rooms\, and Thomas Mantle\, a coal carver who tried to give Princess Victoria a carving as her carriage stopped to change horses at a local hotel. DESCRIPTION:Developed over 60 yrs\, this half-acre garden features unusual plants\, hidden areas and plentiful seating. It flows through herbaceous borders\, woodland and pond rooms\, leading to a modern\, lit paradise and courtyard.
