SUMMARY:Music in the Park 2025
DESCRIPTION:Back for 2025\, join Malvern Town Council for an 18-week programme running throughout the summer months (with the exception of 6 July) that will see bands from around Worcestershire coming to play in the Priory Park Bandstand. There is something for everyone\, with many genres covered over the season including brass band\, jazz\, pop\, folk\, blues and many more. \nAll concerts run from 2.30pm – 4.30pm (except 17 August 2025\, when there will be an earlier start with an additional band at 1pm) and are free to attend. \nBring a rug or folding chair to sit on if you wish. It’s just a three-minute walk from the park to some of Great Malvern’s wide range of shops and cafes\, where you can purchase a drink\, lunch or treat to enjoy whilst listening to the music. DESCRIPTION:Back for 2025\, join Malvern Town Council for an 18-week programme running throughout the summer months (with the exception of 6 July) that will see bands from around Worcestershire coming to play in the Priory Park Bandstand. There is something for everyone\, with many genres covered over the season including brass band\, jazz\, pop\, folk\, blues and many more. \nAll concerts run from 2.30pm – 4.30pm (except 17 August 2025\, when there will be an earlier start with an additional band at 1pm) and are free to attend. \nBring a rug or folding chair to sit on if you wish. It’s just a three-minute walk from the park to some of Great Malvern’s wide range of shops and cafes\, where you can purchase a drink\, lunch or treat to enjoy whilst listening to the music. DESCRIPTION:A tribute to the golden age of American(a) music\, ‘A Night In The Canyon’ features the timeless songs of some of the greatest musicians of all-time\, including James Taylor\, Carole King\, Crosby\, Stills\, Nash & Young\, Buffalo Springfield\, Eagles\, Joni Mitchell and more. \nAs if that were not enough\, the homage will be performed by an esteemed trio of noted high calibre artists in their own right: Robbie Cavanagh (Winner of the Whispering Bob Harris Emerging Artist Award)\, Eddy Smith (about to headline\, in his own right\, the famous ‘Jazz Cafe’) and Jana Varga (Emerging Artist nominee\, UK Blues and Roots). \nAs such\, this is not to be regarded as a tribute show in the traditional sense of the word\, but more the artists themselves performing their own interpretations\, both individually and together\, of these timeless classics of the late 1960s/early 1970s American songbook\, together with an award-winning song or two of their own\, inspired by this legendary period of ground-breaking music.

DESCRIPTION:Grimethorpe Colliery Band returns to Malvern Theatres to play a programme of classics from the brass band repertoire\, plus music from the film Brassed Off as well as newer works and some entertaining solos. \nNational and British Open Champions on many occasions\, the band’s contest successes remain legendary and their reputation has led to opportunities to perform around the world. \nTheir diverse range of concert performances includes those at the FIFA World Cup\, BAFTA Awards\, BBC Proms\, Eurovision and London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. As if that were not enough\, they received a BAFTA nomination for their key role in the global hit movie Brassed Off.
