A gentle way to welcome the festive season\, this four-hour workshop is the perfect early gift to yourself\, or a chance to savour memories of warmer days while staying cosy indoors\, stitching with dried flowers and botanicals. \nIn this workshop\, Katerina will teach participants a series of hand embroidery techniques for how dried plant materials can be used as alternative textile embellishments. Learning how to incorporate unusual materials such as lavender seeds\, cornflowers\, dahlia petals\, and rosemary together with traditional hand stitching\, whether you are interested in textiles\, gardening\, meditation\, or would just like to learn something new\, this workshop promises to be soothing and sensorial. \nAll materials will be provided by Katerina\, including a varied selection of dried plant materials\, homegrown or sustainably foraged. \nNo embroidery experience is necessary\, you are encouraged to take each stitch slowly and learn at a pace that is comfortable for you. \nAs you stitch\, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or whole leaf tea\, accompanied by an artisanal sweet treat from Faun. \nLimited to 8 places. \nAbout the host\nKaterina Knight is an English textile artist\, writer and lecturer. Now in its 19th year\, Great Malvern Traditional Christmas Market promises over 60 stalls featuring high quality artisan arts\, crafts\, food and drink. The market is being organised by Boffy Arts Markets\, the local family company behind the town’s longest running and best-loved arts markets\, along with the farmers’ market\, Festival of Stories and Food Festival. The market will all be located outdoors within the beautiful grounds of Great Malvern Priory Church. Larger than usual\, the market will not only feature one of the biggest line-ups of traders seen in the town\, but will also have lots to see and do including hot food\, live music and face-painting. \nAlso\, there’s lots going on in the Priory itself on the day. \nThe market will run from 10am – 6pm \nWhilst you’re in town\, make sure you explore all our independent retailers and stop off for a bite to eat at a choice of eateries. \nThere’s also lots of live entertainment\, markets at Belle Vue Terrace and Malvern Library\, as well as another market in the Lyttelton Rooms.

DESCRIPTION:Hellens is pleased to present its second Christmas Craft Market\, open on Sunday 14 December 2025 from 10am – 4pm. \nEntry to the event is free and booking is not required. \nInside you will discover carefully chosen stalls to inspire your Christmas gift shopping\, whilst outside along with the warming firepit\, local craftspeople will be showing how they make their products. \nHot festive drinks and snacks will be on offer throughout the day. \nPlease do bring some cash\, as some of the stallholders are unable to take card payments. \nN.B. Parking at Hellens is limited\, so please car-share if you can or if possible please walk\, cycle or use the Daffodil 232 bus service that runs hourly between Ross\, Newent and Ledbury and will drop you at the end of the drive. \nThe house and gardens are not open to the public on this day.
