DESCRIPTION:Come and join us for a day of seasonal fun as we coppice willow from our reed beds and use the withies to create beautiful festive wreaths.  \nThe day will be split into 2 different activities\, firstly learning how to coppice willow and finding out about our reed bed system\, then creating wreaths using the cut willow. We’ll collect natural materials from the grounds to adorn and decorate. This is an opportunity to work with us here at Hellens and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. \nWe will provide a soup lunch to warm you and all materials will be provided (please add any special dietary requirements in the comments box when booking). Bring warm clothes\, some secateurs and plenty of creativity.\nThe day will start at 10 am and finish at 3 pm. \n£50 for the day\, including lunch and refreshments.

DESCRIPTION:Join Storyteller Peter Chand as he shares some of his favourite stories and riddles from around the world. Conundrums\, mind-benders and sparkling interactive stories from one of Europe’s renowned storytellers.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPeter is constantly in demand for his skill as a storyteller specialising in tales from India. DESCRIPTION:Join storyteller Michael Harvey for an introduction to Welsh myths from the Mabinogion with the opportunity for group and individual poetry writing.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMichael’s repertoire is based in Wales and the other Celtic countries but he can’t resist a good story\, wherever it’s from. Michael loves the immediacy of storytelling and the recognition by people of all ages and backgrounds that these stories are for them and about them\, no matter how strange or magical they may seem. Join Michael for stories and poems from the Celtic tradition. \nThis session is aimed at KS1/KS2 (5-11 years) but suitable for all ages \nFor examples of poetry created in similar sessions go to yrawen.wordpress.com \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n3:30-4:30pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKET INFO:\n\n\n\nAll sessions require a ticket for entry.
