DESCRIPTION:To celebrate GRL’s 10th anniversary\, we are delighted to be sponsoring Brian Nyanhongo\, a renowned Zimbabwean sculptor\, during August and September 2025. Each block features a unique stone sculpture from the prized ‘first generation’ of Zimbabwean stone sculptors\, with other examples held in collections such as the Guggenheim and the V&A. \nBrian Nyanhongo will share the stories behind the works\, exploring the fascinating culture\, myths\, legends\, and humanity that inspire them. Using the glorious range of plants and your own favourite mark-making drawing tools and sketchbook – charcoal\, crayon\, pastels etc. – we will explore the various textures and colours that abound. \nAfter the felting process has been explained there will be a short demonstration from Sarah and then you will embark on using the merino fleeces plus any other natural fibres brought along from home to incorporate into your piece. Using your drawings from the morning\, you will create a wall piece\, durable\, colourfast and colourful! DESCRIPTION:The Autumn Quilting & Sewing Show returns to Malvern’s Three Counties Showground for another packed three days this October. \nVisitors can marvel at the inspirational quilt displays from well-established quilters and textile artists\, as well as browse stalls from a wide variety of exhibitors selling patchwork and quilting supplies for every possible project. \nIn addition\, workshops will be available on a first-come\, first-served basis at the show\, plus demonstrators will be in attendance to teach you their techniques and to give help and advice. \nAll this in a beautiful setting offering excellent facilities\, including restaurant\, disabled access and free parking. \nShow opening times\nFriday & Saturday: 10am – 4.30pm\nSunday: 9.30am – 3.30pm \nTickets are available in advance and on the door.

Shaun will be available to informally discuss his ideas\, working methods and relationship to his subject for this exhibition\, canals\, which are undoubtedly an important and evocative part of the Midlands landscape.  \nThe Book & Cup Café will also be open for refreshments.
