SUMMARY:The Countryside Through Mid-Century Art
DESCRIPTION:A celebration of the countryside through a vibrant collection of original works to include paintings\, prints\, ceramics and fabrics by artists including John Piper\, Katharine Church\, Julian Trevelyan\, Elisabeth Frink\, Robert Tavener and more. \nDiscover how mid-century artists reimagined rural life with colour\, creativity and modern spirit. \nEntry to the exhibition is free and all works are for sale. \nThe Netherwood Estate gardens will also be open under the National Garden Scheme (£8\, donated to charity) on 16 & 17 May and 13 & 14 June. A cafe will be available over each of these weekends. \nExhibition dates\nSaturday 16 May – Monday 26 May 2026\, 10am – 4pm daily\nFriday 5 June – Sunday 14 June 2026\, 10am – 4pm daily \nFree curator’s tours will be available on Saturday 16 May at 5pm and Friday 5 June at 6pm. SUMMARY:Cradley – A Historic Village
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Herefordshire Histories Festival\, various events are taking place in the historic village of Cradley\, located in beautiful rolling countryside on the western edge of the Malvern Hills National Landscape. \nOn 9\, 10\, 23 & 25 May\, between 1pm and 5pm\, visit Cradley Village Hall to see the exhibition ‘Cradley Through the Ages’ and to learn more about the oldest village hall in Herefordshire and the local history resources available there. \nOn 9\, 10\, 23 & 25 May\, at 2pm\, guided tours of the church (St. James the Great) and churchyard will take place. \nOn 9 & 10 May only\, at 3.15pm\, join a guided walk through historic Cradley. \nRefreshments will be available in Cradley Village Hall all afternoon.
