DESCRIPTION:From Storytelling to Art – Exhibition by Graham Langley\nOpen 2 – 28 July 2025 during library opening hours (closed Sundays) \nMost of his life Graham has been involved in the performance arts. For 30 years he has travelled Britain and the world as a storyteller. Much of his work reflects the British landscape\, especially prehistoric sites which he seeks out on his travels. \nThe exhibition will present a wide range of Graham Langley’s artwork. While much of the work will include colourful monoprints; these often combine the use of acrylic and collage. Work will include the all-black “Uffington White Horse at Night” and the all-white embossed image of the Nebra Sky Disc. \nAbout the artist\nFor twenty years Graham was a drama and dance teacher before an illness caused him to leave teaching. SUMMARY:Exhibition: Day to Night
DESCRIPTION:Art exhibition by Kim Whitby: 3 – 26 June 2025 (see opening times online) \nIn this new exhibition at Malvern Library\, local artist Kim Whitby takes us through her unique creative process – from initial sketches and plans to colour palette inspirations and colour mixing that lead to the final finished piece. We get to see the developmental drawings and paintings for a modern Arts and Crafts-inspired frieze. An Arts and Crafts frieze is a decorative band on a wall often above a picture rail or panelling which was popular during the Arts and Crafts period\, made either from printed wallpaper or painted directly. \nDon’t miss this opportunity! For library opening times\, please visit the Worcestershire County Council website. Admission is free.
