The first four days will be aimed at local schools\, who will be offered an opportunity to attend and take part in the specially designed programme. SUMMARY:Hallowtide Celebrations in the Manor House at Brockhampton
DESCRIPTION:In medieval times\, Hallowtide was an opportunity to remember the dead. It was a time of vigils\, feasts and prayers for saints\, martyrs and faithful Christians whose souls had not yet reached heaven. \nThe National Trust will be marking Hallowtide in the house at Brockhampton with displays of traditional ‘soul cake’ recipes\, laying place settings for the inhabitants of Brockhampton\, flooding the Great Hall with candles\, seasonal decoration and folklore interpretation. \nThis event is free\, but normal admission charges apply for non-members.

Please return to collect a small prize during opening times (10am – 4pm). \nThere are twenty ghosts hanging around the town centre shop windows – you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled to help you identify the Halloween phrase. \nTrail sheets are also available from participating shops. Can you find them all and work out the Halloween phrase? \nThe trail runs from Saturday 25 October to Saturday 1 November 2025 (excluding Sunday). \nCollect your free trail sheet from Upton upon Severn Tourist Information Centre (TIC)\, located in The ‘Pepperpot’ on Church Street\, Upton upon Severn. Your small prize will be available to collect when the TIC is open 10am – 1pm & 1.30pm – 4pm. \nTrail sheets are also available from participating shops\, as well as the Tudor House Museum. If you dare to enter\, you’ll be rewarded! \nAs you wander around the town centre\, we hope you enjoy looking out for the Halloween-themed masks on show in shop windows\, which have all been decorated and coloured by pupils from local primary schools. The children have done a brilliant job – so creative and spooky!
