SUMMARY:The Oil & Thread Exhibition: A Celebration of Art & Craft
DESCRIPTION:Throughout July and August\, to coincide with the Ink & Curtain Festival\, the Oil & Thread Exhibition will running in the Barry Jackson Room at the Coach House Theatre\, featuring works by Anthea Grenfell Nakorn\, Julia Heron\, Anthony McKerr\, Jain McKay\, The Artisan Spinner and Gilly Hemmer. \nEntry to the exhibition is free. \nOn various dates\, featured artists will be holding demonstrations that will allow visitors a fascinating insight into their creative processes: \nJain McKay – oil painted portraits\nTuesday 4 August 2026: 11am – 4pm \nAnthea Grenfell Nakorn – techniques for depicting movement and dance through torn paper collage\nWednesday 5 August 2026: 2.30pm – 4.30pm\nWednesday 12 August 2026: 2.30pm – 4.30pm \nJulia Heron – Gelli plate printing\nThursday 13 August 2026: 2pm – 4pm \nAnthony McKerr – stone carving or dry point preparation on acrylic plates (weather-dependent)\nTuesday 18 August 2026: 10.30am – 12.30pm\nThursday 20 August 2026: 10.30am – 12.30pm \nThe Artisan Spinner – drop spindle spinning\nSaturday 22 August 2026: 12pm – 2pm
