SUMMARY:Stimprovisation (FEAST)
DESCRIPTION:Stimprovisation by Aby Watson \nStimming is the repetitive movements\, behaviours\, and/or vocalisations we do to self-soothe\, regulate\, or stimulate to bring oneself into balance. We all stim\, but for neurodivergent people who process the senses differently\, stimming is particularly important for wellbeing. In this playful and fun workshop\, choreographer Aby Watson will introduce her practice of stimming improvisation\, or stimprovisation. We will play with movement\, objects and sound in rhythm and repetition\, directed by what feels good across the senses. This workshop offers a practical introduction to stimprovising – you do not need performance experience to join us\, only a willingness to play and explore! \nTickets £7 / Free to carers \n11am-12:30pm \n* We recommend you come in comfortable clothing that you can move in \nRefreshments available from Garden Cafe

SUMMARY:Special 400th Anniversary Talk: Malvern Shakespeare Folio 400 Festival
DESCRIPTION:A special talk by Professor Judith Buchanan \nAn illustrated talk discussing the hugely influential Shakespeare First Folio. The talk will include revealing points of comparison with previously published\, single-work editions of Shakespeare’s plays and some histories of loss\, sale\, theft\, and recovery that individual copies of the 1623 Folio have accrued in their passage down the centuries. \nProfessor Buchanan is not only the Master of St Peter’s College Oxford and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford\, but she is a leading authority on the 1623 First Folio of Shakespeare’s plays\, a work which is still one of the most important secular works ever to be published. \n

SUMMARY:Tree Rings - Strange Futures (FEAST)
DESCRIPTION:Trees hold stories\, in more ways than one. They hold memories and myths. The rings within a tree’s trunk are also story archives of changes and events in our environment. What if they could tell you those stories? What if a tree could ring you? \nStrange Futures bring their unique brand of quirky humour and physical theatre\, plus live music\, to tell the story of a boy’s relationship with a tree\, decade by decade from the 1950s to the present day\, combining a childlike delight for magic and myths\, with insights into the growth of the environmental movement over the last 70 years. \nFully stocked bar available \n7:30-8:30pm

DESCRIPTION:Once upon a crossroads a mysterious tree stands\, and a traveller is lost. Where have they come from? Which way to go? What exactly are they running from? This tree seems friendly enough\, maybe they can stay here… forever? Kronos the Wizard needs your help to face their biggest fears and finish their story. Aid Kronos with their decision making\, taking an active role in the shape of things to come. Jump up and become part of the action yourself! \nUsing masks\, puppets and ridiculous physicality Adam will guide you on a magical and very silly quest to finish Kronos’ story. No one knows how it will all go but it’s sure to be a lot of fun getting there. \nThis performance and clay workshop are especially for home-educated children \nTickets £7 \nRefreshments available from Garden Cafe

You probably are. \nThere’s a whole world of beautiful performance to be made if we can get in touch with our magnificent inner idiot\, take a risk\, follow our impulse and find the pleasure in being completely ridiculous. \nIn this workshop we’ll play a lot of games\, laugh at each other\, laugh at ourselves\, perhaps cry a bit (hope not too much crying)\, and get some great insight into who we are as performers and the incredible potential to be found in working with what we’ve got. \nLucy Hopkins trained at the schools of Jacques Lecoq and Philippe Gaulier. She is a high priestess of idiot and one of the UK’s best known female clowns\, touring her genre-busting ceremonial shows and workshops around the UK and Europe.
