It also retells the dramas that played out between his adoptive family and mother at home\, the wider local historical backdrop against which this drama unfolded\, and the passing of the torch across generations as George’s son embarks on a pilgrimage in his footsteps a decade after his death. \nA directorial debut from north-west creative Cameron Evans\, the research for and production of the film were supported by many members of local communities\, and the event promises to be a powerful celebration of family\, community and local identity following other screenings across the UK in summer 2024. \nThe evening will feature an introduction to the film by the director\, a screening\, followed by a Q&A\, and time to have a drink and socialise afterwards\, as well as to peruse some archival materials that Cameron will be bringing.
