DESCRIPTION:Brian is a globally renowned Zimbabwean sculptor with a passionate commitment to sharing Shona Art across the world. \nWe are fortunate to have Brian visit Malvern from June to September 2026 to expertly facilitate Shona Sculpture Workshops at Great Malvern Priory. Over the course of the workshop\, you will explore the foundations of Shona stone sculpting\, selecting and understanding the stone through to carving\, shaping and finishing your own piece to take home. Three-day courses run from Monday to Wednesday with two-day courses taking place on Saturday and Sunday. \nThree-day course dates\nJune 2026: 15 – 17\, 22 – 24\, 29 – 1 (July)\nJuly 2026: 6 – 8\, 13 – 15\, 20 – 22\, 27 – 29\nAugust 2026: 3 – 5\, 10 – 12\, 17 – 19\, 24 – 26\, 31 – 2 (September)\nSeptember 2026: 7 – 9 \nThree-day courses are available to book online at Eventbrite. \nTwo-day courses are also available.

SUMMARY:Guided Tour of Madresfield Court
DESCRIPTION:Madresfield Court\, situated within the Madresfield Estate at the foot of the Malvern Hills\, is a moated stately home that has been in the Lygon family for over 900 years and is currently home to its 29th generation. \nThe house played a significant part in nurturing the Arts and Crafts movement and contains a fine collection of paintings\, furniture and ceramics. It also has a rich history\, with both Edward Elgar and Evelyn Waugh having been frequent visitors. \nThe house and beautiful grounds are open to welcome visitors at various times throughout the year. Access to the house and gardens is by guided tour only and tickets must be pre-booked online. \nThe Madresfield Estate also hosts several popular events throughout the year within the grounds of the Court. \n2026 season details\nThe 2026 tour season at Madresfield Court runs from 22 April until 27 June\, plus 29 July – 1 August inclusive. \nTours generally run on Wednesdays\, Thursdays and Fridays (with some exceptions and the occasional Saturday). \nOn each open day\, four tours will run\, with each tour taking a maximum of fifteen people aged 16 and over. Sadly\, the tours are not suitable for babies or children under 16 and are subject to accessibility restrictions. \nTickets are £17 per person and all visitors will have the chance to enjoy the gardens either before or after the house tour. \nRefreshments can now be enjoyed in the newly refurbished Play Room. \nFor full details\, including booking terms and conditions\, to check that a tour is running on your chosen date and to book your place\, visit the Madresfield Court website. \nPhoto supplied by Madresfield Court.
