Over the course of the workshop\, you will explore the foundations of Shona stone sculpting\, selecting and understanding the stone through to carving\, shaping and finishing your own piece to take home. DESCRIPTION:Love Works in Mysterious Ways tells the story of Elliott and Nora\, who meet at school. Having made something of a friendship and intense dislike for each other. Nora dreams of being an actress on the stage. But Elliott says something that could cost their friendship. Now hating each other they spend the last few days of school not talking. But two years later they find themselves at a bar one night and exchange numbers. Years go by and they haven’t texted. Both are a little scared\, until Elliott finally builds up the courage. SUMMARY:Malvern Pastel Artists
DESCRIPTION:Who are we?\nMalvern Pastel Artists is a new community art group starting in 2026 meeting fortnightly. We would like to welcome other local pastel artists to create in a relaxed social space. The group is not a tutored class. Open to all abilities\, beginners are welcome to join. There will be some beginner-friendly art materials available for those new to pastels. \nWhat do we mean by pastels?\nWhat we love about pastels is that it’s drawing and painting combined in one – with intense colours closer to the raw pigment than other media. We define pastels as including soft pastels\, hard pastels\, pan pastels\, oil pastels\, charcoal\, graphite\, crayons\, any pencils and stick form media. Many of us are mixed-media artists and combine pastels with other media – watercolour\, for example. \nWhen?\nOne morning and one early evening session each month\, starting on 16 January 2026. (N.B. There is no session scheduled for the first Friday in April 2026\, which is Good Friday.) You are free to choose when to attend via our booking system (up to 20 people per session due to room size): \n\n1st Friday of the month: morning – 9.30am -12 noon\n3rd Friday of the month: evening – 6pm – 8.30 pm\n\nCosts\n£6 annual membership for 2026 (£0.50 a month) and £5 per booked session.
