DESCRIPTION:Join London based Graffiti Artist Jose Rodriguez for this workshop where participants will create their own small Graffiti piece to take home as well as collaborating to develop a large Graffiti piece for the FEAST Theatre Festival. \nJose was born in Caracas\, Venezuela\, in 1989. He became interested in art at the age of 12\, after a plastic art school project where he created a booklet that recollected all types of art; he found himself inclined to kinetics\, sculptures\, illustration\, and cubism. He began to draw illustrations for friends and family and started experimenting with street art in collaboration with friends and classmates.\nHe is currently studying Art in London Metropolitan University \n*Overalls and masks provided for the workshops \n5-8pm

Korsantia)\nLiszt Sonata in B minor\, S.178 \n  \n\nSiqian Li\nFeatured as a rising star in BBC Music Magazine\, Chinese pianist Siqian Li brings elegance\, dynamism and exceptional musical quality to her performances. Commended for her ‘virtuosity and talent’ (Annecy Classic Festival)\, her ‘huge emotional range and effortless pianistic control’ (Paul Lewis CBE)\, and her ‘graceful and touching’ (Emanuel Ax) approach. Siqian has appeared in concerts and recitals worldwide. She has performed at international venues including the Bridgewater Hall\, Beijing Forbidden City Concert Hall\, Tokyo Ginza Yamaha Concert Hall\, Cairo’s Arabic Music Institute and Boston’s Jordan Hall\, and in more unusual settings\, with recitals at London’s 1901 Arts Club\, the ever-charming Fidelio Cafe and Luke Jerram’s breathtaking GAIA The Earth Exhibition. \nConsistently active on the festival circuit\, Siqian has also given recitals at Annecy Classic Festival\, Festival d’Auvers sur-Oise\, Dinard Festival International de Musique\, Lancaster Music Festival\, Shanghai International Music Festival\, and BNP Paribas Rising Star Piano Festival. The level of depth Siqian brings to her musical exploration\, coupled with her shining pianism\, has led to her winning numerous awards\, including first prizes in the Chappell Medal Piano Competition 2020\, the Imola International Piano Competition\, Yamaha China Piano Competition Conservatoire\, and the Grand Prix at the Krainev International Piano Competition\, amongst others. Siqian was also a semi-finalist in the Leeds International Piano Competition in 2018. In 2022\, Siqian performed live on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune and has also appeared on BBC Radio London’s The Scene. \nHaving studied Music at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing with Professor Huiqiao Bao\, Siqian became the first pianist to be awarded the Best of the Best – Top and Innovative Talent diploma and scholarship from China’s Ministry of Culture. DESCRIPTION:The next Pop-Up Art Exhibition will be at Philip Laney and Jolly in Great Malvern on Saturday 28 October 2023. \nThe exhibition will feature new and recent art from local artists Allison Dumbrell\, Lesley Brankin and Trudi Foggo\, who will be given the opportunity to display their works of art in the front office of Philip Laney and Jolly. \nThe exhibition theme will be “fresh art for a fresh home” and will be an eclectic mix of contemporary art\, abstract\, semi-abstract and decorative works. \nThe PLJ estate agency\, lettings and block management staff have kindly agreed to work as usual from other parts of the premises\, and the PLJ Gallery will be open from 10am – 4pm. \nFuture pop-up exhibitions will take place on two Saturdays each month\, so if you know any artists who might like the opportunity to exhibit their work\, please pass this information on to them. \nExhibitions are open submission exhibitions\, which means that anyone will be able to enter their work to be considered for inclusion. \nEntry is free for local exhibitors\, and entry forms can be requested from PLJGallery@email-365.co.uk

If you want to purchase and carve one of our amazing pumpkins\, we suggest you buy in advance on the link below. Last year we sold out\, and we don’t want any disappointed little ones! \nThere will also be a fancy dress competition. \nFace Painting will also be on offer and two kids yoga sessions will be held in our Carthouse. SUMMARY:The Enigma of Elgar's Songs
DESCRIPTION:Free event (normal admission applies for those who are not members of the National Trust). \nElgar wrote a considerable number of songs throughout his career. His first ever completed composition was a ballad called ‘The Language of Flowers’ which he wrote for his sister’s birthday when he was still a teenager\, and at the very end of his life he was working on two songs to poems by John Drinkwater\, which sadly he never completed. \nThe songs contain many mysteries about Elgar his life and his moods. \nThis concert presents a series of some of his best songs with the aim of introducing Elgar the Songwriter to a wider audience. \nMatthew Clark\, an extremely fine Baritone\, will showcase songs drawn from successive periods of Elgar’s career\, and resident Elgar expert Richard Westwood-Brookes will provide a lively and entertaining commentary introducing each song in its context and illustrating how each reflected Elgar’s mood and circumstances at the time he wrote them. \nWith only 66 tickets available in each performance\, it’s recommended to book your seat to avoid disappointment on the day. Event funded by the Elgar Society. \nPerformances will take place at 12pm and 2pm on Sunday 29 October 2023.
