DESCRIPTION:Organised by Classic Shows\, this is the first autojumble event of the season! It will take place inside and outside\, featuring a large retail village and autojumble area of up to 80 stalls located inside the Wye Halls and outside selling a range of hard-to-find parts\, merchandise\, memorabilia\, antiques\, craft and vintage items. \nA wide selection of quality hot and cold food and drink is available from a variety of on-site catering facilities including confectionery and ice cream vendors. In addition\, there is a permanent café onsite. \nThe show runs from 9am – 2pm (visitors may arrive from 8.30am). \nTickets are available online and on the day.

DESCRIPTION:Legendary fantasy authors JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis were frequent visitors to the Malvern Hills around the middle of the 20th century and the distinctive landscape may have inspired features of Middle Earth and Narnia\, like the Giant’s Cave from the Hobbit and the Victorian gas lamps from The Lion\, the Witch & the Wardrobe. \nA century earlier\, authors Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens visited Malvern for the Water Cure and most of the treatment centres and guest houses still remain. \nThe Malvern Hills Literary Loop starts at the Mr. Tumnus bench in Priory Park and heads up past Knotsford House where Dickens stayed to Lewis’s former school Cherbourg House before pausing at the Lewis Memorial in Rosebank Gardens and following the gas lamps up to St. Ann’s Well cafe. \nAfter admiring the views around North Hill\, the trail descends to Alexandra Rd where Lewis’s close friend & biographer George Sayers lived\, opposite the former home of composer Edward Elgar. \nThe loop then heads up past Montreal House where Darwin stayed during his daughter’s treatment and past Lewis & Tolkien’s favourite pub The Unicorn Inn before passing the Hobbit door and down to Malvern Priory to find Anne Darwin’s grave and potentially the original Narnian gas lamp. \nDates and booking\nThe walks are available on many dates\, often with the option of two start times on the same day. SUMMARY:Levellers Collective
DESCRIPTION:After two highly acclaimed acoustic tours and albums in recent years\, the Levellers Collective are embarking on a new 17-date tour in Spring 2025 at theatres and venues around the country\, plus a live album & DVD. \nThe Collective live shows\, and albums\, arose after the Levellers decided to do something a bit different with their extensive back catalogue in 2018. Together with members of fellow Brighton group The Moulettes\, they went on to record two albums radically reworking their songs – with producer John Leckie (We The Collective) and Sean Lakeman (Together All The Way). \nThe new acoustic arrangements of those Levellers songs\, old and new\, can now also be seen and heard on a new live album & DVD which was recorded in 2023 at London’s iconic Hackney Empire. The recording captures the spirit of the Levellers on stage as never seen before as multiple cameras were positioned around the band for the making of the film and the result is a truly privileged vantage point.

This unassuming building is an excellent resource for the local community and is run by a few paid staff and a large team of dedicated volunteers. Since MBB first performed at the Cube\, its members have become increasingly aware of how vital it is to many groups in Malvern – not only to performers\, but also to the health and well-being of everyone who participates in one of the many activities there. By the time of this concert in March 2025\, MBB will have performed at the Cube eight times since its first visit in 2021\, so it is\, without a doubt\, the right venue for the band. As a group\, it offers them the best possible combination of performing facilities and audience accommodation. \nMalvern Cube will always need to develop and maintain its facilities. DESCRIPTION:Apollo Theatre Company presents\, by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Samuel French Ltd\, Ode to Joyce: A selection of the songs and monologues of Joyce Grenfell\, adapted and performed by Cheryl Knight and directed by Paul Knight. \nJoyce Grenfell was one of the greatest female entertainers of the twentieth century\, loved all over the world for her hilarious and beautifully observed monologues and songs\, as well as numerous film\, television and radio appearances. Conceived to mark her centenary year and playing to sell-out audiences at the Edinburgh Festival\, this revue has been delighting theatre-goers ever since. In this gem of nostalgia\, which recreates the setting of one of Joyce’s stage shows\, Cheryl Knight\, starring in her own adaptation\, captures Grenfell’s spirit through the well-known songs and monologues as well as some of her more delicate and poignant pieces.
