DESCRIPTION:Back for 2025\, join Malvern Town Council for an 18-week programme running throughout the summer months (with the exception of 6 July) that will see bands from around Worcestershire coming to play in the Priory Park Bandstand. There is something for everyone\, with many genres covered over the season including brass band\, jazz\, pop\, folk\, blues and many more. \nAll concerts run from 2.30pm – 4.30pm and are free to attend. \nBring a rug or folding chair to sit on if you wish. It’s just a three-minute walk from the park to some of Great Malvern’s wide range of shops and cafes\, where you can purchase a drink\, lunch or treat to enjoy whilst listening to the music. Learn the secrets of the singer’s craft\, explore how a composer brings text to life\, and see the amazing relationship between singer and collaborative pianist. \nMasterclass is from 11am – 1pm with a performance by all 6 singers after lunch at 2pm. \nAuditions are open to young singers aged 18 – 25. SUMMARY:Music in the Park 2025
DESCRIPTION:Back for 2025\, join Malvern Town Council for an 18-week programme running throughout the summer months (with the exception of 6 July) that will see bands from around Worcestershire coming to play in the Priory Park Bandstand. There is something for everyone\, with many genres covered over the season including brass band\, jazz\, pop\, folk\, blues and many more. \nAll concerts run from 2.30pm – 4.30pm (except 17 August 2025\, when there will be an earlier start with an additional band at 1pm) and are free to attend. \nBring a rug or folding chair to sit on if you wish. It’s just a three-minute walk from the park to some of Great Malvern’s wide range of shops and cafes\, where you can purchase a drink\, lunch or treat to enjoy whilst listening to the music. We get to see the developmental drawings and paintings for a modern Arts and Crafts-inspired frieze. An Arts and Crafts frieze is a decorative band on a wall often above a picture rail or panelling which was popular during the Arts and Crafts period\, made either from printed wallpaper or painted directly. \nDon’t miss this opportunity!
