SUMMARY:Summer of Play at Croome
DESCRIPTION:Summer of Play is back at Croome for 2026! This summer\, we’re showcasing all things bugs and biodiversity\, with critter-themed fairground games\, hands-on creative activities\, and a mini theatre for performers of all sizes. \nDiscover limitless ways to play this summer\, with various play zones that encourage the whole family to get involved. On the south lawn\, get active with a whole host of lawn and fairground games\, create theatrical performances on the stage\, and take part in some of the free workshops that will be running throughout the summer. These workshops will have a new theme each week\, with activities including dancing\, pond dipping\, critter crafts\, and orienteering! \nThe fun isn’t restricted to the outdoors\, as there will also be plenty of activities to get involved with inside the house\, including giant snakes and ladders\, giant chess\, and more activities in the basement. \nCome along to Croome for a summer of discovery and adventure\, where there will be new opportunities for the whole family to play every day. Try it all\, find your favourite\, and come back again and again. \nSummer of Play activities are free\, but normal admission charges apply (free for NT members). Summer of Play is supported by Pokémon.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a beautiful evening of Indian classical music at The Fold\, Bransford\, from 7pm – 9pm\, celebrating the rich traditions of Hindustani music\, devotion\, and cultural exchange. \nInternationally acclaimed vocalist Awantika Dubey will present a selection of Hindustani classical ragas alongside uplifting kirtan and devotional songs. Known for her work as a musician\, dancer\, and teacher\, Awantika brings authenticity\, depth\, and heartfelt expression to every performance. \nShe will be joined by the outstanding Akash Dubey\, an accomplished tabla artist from India whose mastery of rhythm adds both power and subtlety to the musical experience. \nThe evening also features William Tooby\, whose deep love for Indian music has shaped a lifelong journey into its melodies and meditative essence. Through the resonant voice of the sitar\, he creates a bridge between cultures\, traditions\, and hearts. \nAdding another magical dimension to the performance is Morgan Davies on sarangi. Often described as the instrument closest to the human voice\, the sarangi carries an extraordinary emotional depth. The dialogue between voice and sarangi weaves a tapestry of melody and feeling\, creating moments of rare beauty and intimacy. \nAlongside them\, David Balen\, whose life has been devoted to music\, brings his rich musical sensitivity to the ensemble. \nTogether\, these artists create an immersive journey through raga\, rhythm\, devotion\, and improvisation\, inviting audiences into the timeless world of Indian classical music. \nPre-booked Indian dinner available (vegan & gluten-free options available).
