SUMMARY:Lady Maisery
DESCRIPTION:Individually three multi award-winning artists\, Lady Maisery form a unified voice\, carrying stories of sisterhood\, human struggle\, the joy of living and the vitality of song with the “freshest possible take on traditional music” (Folk Radio UK). Their long-standing effervescent collaboration has been described as “adventurous and beautiful” (Mark Radcliffe\, Radio 2) “exquisite and thrilling” (The Guardian) with “a generosity of spirit and joie de vivre that seems to emanate from every minute of their recorded output as well as from their exuberant live shows” (Folk Radio UK). \nTheir fifth studio album Tender was released at the end of 2022 to far-reaching acclaim. An arresting record exploring the power in vulnerability\, the tenderness of collective wounds and the strength in kindness\, it was hailed “a beguiling blend of ancient and modern” (The Times) and “both nurturing and raw\, a sensitive response to the times we are living in” (Daily Info).\nTender entered the Official Indie Album Charts at number 18\, the Official Indie Album Breakers Chart at number 3 (rare accolades for British folk!) before spending a whole year in the Official Folk Chart Top 40. \nDoors open 7.00pm\nConcert starts 7.30pm

SUMMARY:Nigel Kennedy: A Virtuoso Concert Performance
DESCRIPTION:Virtuoso violinist Nigel Kennedy returns for his first UK tour in over a decade. The world’s best-selling violinist will be marking his 70th birthday in 2026 and is as fresh and entertaining as ever. \nThis promises to be a unique evening of classical\, jazz\, and contemporary repertoire from the nation’s greatest living violinist. Expect breath-taking Bach\, alongside the most delicate rendition you will ever hear of ‘A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square’. Nigel’s own compositions will also feature\, including a poignant tribute to Yehudi Menuhin and Stephane Grappelli\, who taught\, mentored and inspired him in his early years. Nigel will also play piano\, which may surprise some but will delight all\, as his virtuosic talent knows no bounds. Accompanied by his great friends Alec Dankworth (son of the late John Dankworth and Cleo Laine) on double bass and Peter Adams on cello\, this is a rare opportunity to witness one of the greatest virtuoso musicians this country has ever produced.

SUMMARY:A Nettle Immersion
DESCRIPTION:A concentrated high-impact sensory journey where participants will experience the Nettles full transformation from sustenance to sacredness where the boundaries between plant\, performer\, and participant dissolve. \nA Japanese-style tea ceremony unfolds. The air hums with nettle music – an otherworldly soundscape generated by electrodes attached to living nettle plants (pre-recorded)\, transforming the plant’s own bio-electrical rhythms into an ambient\, haunting score. the Nettle Epoch poem will be recited with quiet intensity – each word landing like a seed in dark soil. \nAfterwards\, a brief synopsis of the nettle’s gifts will emerge: a superfood richer in protein than any leafy green\, a fibre that clothed armies\, a medicine that clears toxins and feeds the brain. Then the transformation is complete: the same plant that stings now offers nettle energy balls to taste\, earthy and sweet\, proof that fear can become nourishment. \nEach participant will leave the quiet knowing that they have crossed a threshold and emerged changed\, initiated into the Nettle Tribe. \nTickets: £9.76 including booking fee – available online at Ticketsource \nShow times\nSaturday 9 May 2026: 11am\, 12pm\, 1pm\, 2pm
