SUMMARY:A Nettle Immersion
DESCRIPTION:A concentrated high-impact sensory journey where participants will experience the Nettles full transformation from sustenance to sacredness where the boundaries between plant\, performer\, and participant dissolve. \nA Japanese-style tea ceremony unfolds. The air hums with nettle music – an otherworldly soundscape generated by electrodes attached to living nettle plants (pre-recorded)\, transforming the plant’s own bio-electrical rhythms into an ambient\, haunting score. the Nettle Epoch poem will be recited with quiet intensity – each word landing like a seed in dark soil. \nAfterwards\, a brief synopsis of the nettle’s gifts will emerge: a superfood richer in protein than any leafy green\, a fibre that clothed armies\, a medicine that clears toxins and feeds the brain. Then the transformation is complete: the same plant that stings now offers nettle energy balls to taste\, earthy and sweet\, proof that fear can become nourishment. \nEach participant will leave the quiet knowing that they have crossed a threshold and emerged changed\, initiated into the Nettle Tribe. \nTickets: £9.76 including booking fee – available online at Ticketsource \nShow times\nSaturday 9 May 2026: 11am\, 12pm\, 1pm\, 2pm

SUMMARY:Authentic Opera Company presents A Night at the Opera
DESCRIPTION:A Brief\, Slightly Inaccurate History of Opera \n\n\n\n\n\n\nFour International singers and a pianist and host Charlie Forrest take you on a whirlwind\, laugh-out-loud journey through 400 years of opera — from Monteverdi to modern day\, via Handel\, Mozart\, Verdi and Wagner. Expect glorious singing\, sharp wit\, larger-than-life characters and a few operatic myths gently (and joyfully) punctured along the way. Perfect for opera lovers and newcomers alike — no prior knowledge required\, just a sense of humour. \nFeaturing:\nPianist & Compere – Charlie Forrest\nSoprano – Alinka Kozári\nMezzo – Heather Lowe\nTenor – Jack Dolan\nBaritone – Piran Legg \nThis performance includes a 20 minute interval.

SUMMARY:Steeleye Span in Concert
DESCRIPTION:Formed in 1969\, Steeleye Span altered the face of folk music forever by taking it into the world of gold discs and international tours. Now they are back with Conflict\, their first full studio album in over five years. \nAll traditional singers have sung modern and self-composed pieces alongside old songs\, and Conflict is an album that follows in that very tradition. The album’s title was chosen partly to reflect the times we find ourselves in\, but also the stretch and tear of our relationship with this planet that hosts us. As always – and with such a rich back-catalogue to select from – the night will offer a range of songs from across the years and firm fan favourites.
