DESCRIPTION:Event runs from 10am – 4pm \n‘The Family Way’ will be a creative writing day for writers of all disciplines. It’s a chance to tell those who are closest to us how we really feel about them. You can come alone or accompanied by that special person. The workshop will focus on different writing genres and look at ways in which literature can inspire us to find the right words for our loved ones. There will be an opportunity for writers to showcase their work at an event in Great Malvern Priory on 14 November. \nLed by Steve Wilson of Crave Arts and open to writers of all disciplines\, there’s no previous experience needed to join this event. DESCRIPTION:Bestselling Irish author John Boyne will read from and discuss Fire – the third novel in his quartet of intimate\, interlinked novels. \nJohn Boyne is one of the most successful and critically acclaimed novelists of his generation. In a career spanning more than three decades\, he has published 16 novels for adults\, 6 novels for younger readers\, a short story collection\, and a picture book. \nHis most famous book\, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas\, is a modern classic and\, globally\, the biggest selling novel by an Irish writer since records began. \nHis many international bestsellers include The Heart’s Invisible Furies and A Ladder to the Sky. He has won four Irish Book Awards\, including Author of the Year in 2022\, along with a host of other international literary prizes. His novels are published in sixty languages. \nIn November 2023\, John published the first of a four novella sequence\, Water\, which was followed by Earth. Fire and Air will be published in November 2024 and May 2025 respectively.
