SUMMARY:A Surprise for Farmer Christmas
DESCRIPTION:The Swan Theatre Amateur Company (STAC) is bringing a seasonal children’s theatre play\, A Surprise for Farmer Christmas by Anne Lanyon-Hogg\, to The Coach House Theatre\, Malvern on Saturday 14 December 2024 with performances at 9.30am and 10.45am. At only 45 minutes\, it is ideal for younger children (suggested ages 3 – 6). \nWhat happens when some children’s letters to Father Christmas are delivered to Farmer Christmas instead? The farmer\, his wife and their local Postie are determined to get them to the North Pole in time\, with the help of a visiting angel who re-tells the nativity story and explains why we give gifts at Christmas. There is plenty of fun and songs to join in before Santa himself arrives to save the day. \nTickets are £5 per person; family of four £16; free for under 2s. DESCRIPTION:Malvern Theatres Stage Company presents A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens\, adapted and directed by Nic Lloyd. \nOn a snowy Christmas Eve\, the mean-spirited Ebeneezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his business partner Jacob Marley\, who is weighed down by the accumulated chains of a lifetime of greed. Marley tells Scrooge he will be visited by three further spirits\, each of whom will offer Scrooge an unsettling vision of himself\, as well as an opportunity to change his ways … before it’s too late. \nDickens’s most famous short story sold out in just five days following its publication in 1843. It has never been out of print since and has been the subject of many film\, stage and television adaptations.
