DESCRIPTION:A new fast and vibrant stage adaptation based on the book by Herman Melville. \nIn search of fortune and adventure\, Ishmael\, a humble schoolmaster\, ships on the Pequod\, a whale-boat sailing out of Nantucket. The skipper\, one Captain Ahab\, charges his crew to wreak revenge on the white whale that lost him his leg – the infamous Moby-Dick. Ahab’s single-minded pursuit consumes Ishmael\, the crew and the Pequod itself. \nThe spirit and atmosphere of Herman Melville’s masterpiece – romantic\, ambiguous\, and rich with allegory – is gloriously captured on stage by Simple8. Using some planks of wood\, tattered sheets and an old accordion\, the hunt for the most famous whale on earth is ingeniously brought to life. \nACCESS PERFORMANCE:\nThe performance on Wednesday 12 June at 2.30pm will be Audio Described. \nThere will also be a touch tour prior to this performance at 12.30pm. \nAdvanced booking is essential.
