History of the Wedding Dress: Exhibition & Talk
Exhibition open on Friday 27th September (2pm – 6pm) and Saturday 28th September (10am – 6pm). Free admission. Refreshments available.
Talk on Friday 27th September (7pm – 10pm) to accompany the exhibition. This is a ticketed event at £10/£7.50 concessions per person, payable in advance. £15/£11 per person on the door. Refreshments (non-alcoholic) & goody bag are included in the ticket price.
Clifton Hill Vintage Clothing & Textiles (Malvern) and Heartfelt Vintage (Bristol) are collaborating to bring you an exciting exhibition and talk focusing on the history of the wedding dress. Many beautiful wedding dresses and accessories dating from 1880 – 1980 will be on display, along with stories and photographs of the original wearer. Discover the folklore and history surrounding the bride’s veil, the wedding ring, the garter, the role of the bridesmaids and much more.
There will be a raffle with money being split equally between Mad Giraffe Atlantic Row (Motor Neurone Disease) & Friends of Madresfield Primary School.
