SUMMARY:The Band Back Together
DESCRIPTION:A play featuring top-quality music\, played live by the actors\, in the style of some the most famous bands of the nineties and noughties. \nJoe\, Ross and Ellie used to be in a band. They were pretty good too\, making waves in the pubs and clubs across the rugged patchwork of England’s southwest. They even had a song on Radio 2. But that was all a decade ago and the songs\, the stories\, the secrets are long since\nburied. Until now. From one of Britain’s most celebrated dramatists comes a new play about growing up\, healing and rock n’ roll.\nDrawn back together for one night only to play a benefit gig in their hometown\, three former bandmates find a community reeling from a poisoning and a pandemic. Will the old songs still work their magic? And just how far has time thrown these friends from their younger selves? As showtime draws nearer\, Joe\, Ross and Ellie come face to face with the memories of their youth. Feeling lost in the community they once called home\, they must confront the past in order to make sense of the future. \nFully stocked bar available \nTickets:\n£12 + booking fee online\n£15 cash on door

SUMMARY:Count Arthur Strong - And It's Goodnight from him!
DESCRIPTION:A night of entertainment for all the family. \nHaving consulted with top Harley Street specialists\, the St Anne’s Jombulance Brigade and Professor Witty\, (who I never found funny?) the one that did covid\, (the bald one)\, Count Arthur Strong has decided to gradually phase in his farewell to the nation with a tour over a\, as yet to be specified number of parts\, because of the likelihood of people doing ‘Cold Turkey’ in theatres over him. Whilst partial\, himself to a bit of cold turkey\, particularly with some sliced up gherkin and a squirt of salad cream in a sandwich\, it is banned in most theatre auditoriums\, (apart from in the north east)\, because of it getting trodden in to the carpets etc\, and the cumulative smell. The management would appreciate your co-operation in this matter.

SUMMARY:Chris Wood
DESCRIPTION:Chris Wood is an uncompromising songwriter whose music reveals his love for the unofficial history of the English speaking people. With gentle intelligence he blends the tradition with his own contemporary parables. \nA self-taught musician\, composer and songwriter\, Chris is a lifelong autodidact whose independent streak shines through everything he creates. Always direct and unafraid to speak his mind\, his songwriting has been praised for its surgical clarity. He cites his major influence as ‘Anon’. \nHis most recent album So Much to Defend has met with wide critical acclaim and includes reflections on minor league football\, empty nest syndrome\, learning to swim\, Cook-in Sauce and\, not least\, the Gecko as a metaphor for contemporary society. \n  \n  \n
