SUMMARY:Pages from Nature: Walk through the Pleasure Grounds
DESCRIPTION:Purchase a booklet inspired by the 1824 guidebook to Croome\, the Hortus Croomensis\, to explore the garden. Discover the history behind the landscape design; take time to sketch in the booklet\, pause along the way to appreciate the scents in the special scent boxes – can you guess what they are? Delve into quotes from the two-hundred-year-old text to feel transported back two centuries. \nA copy of the booklet costs £3 and the route is approximately 2 miles long (on hard-surface paths). Booking is not needed\, but normal admission charges apply. \nVisit the website for Croome’s opening hours and further information.

SUMMARY:Spitfire Girls
DESCRIPTION:Tilted Wig and MAST Mayflower Studios present Spitfire Girls by Katherine Senior\, a play inspired by remarkable true events. \n“It’s built for us\, isn’t it? The Spitfire. But above all else\, hope. \nRecommended for ages 10+ \nShow times\nTuesday 20 May 2025\, 7.30pm\nWednesday 21 May 2025\, 2.30pm\nWednesday 21 May 2025\, 7.30pm\nThursday 22 May 2025\, 7.30pm\nFriday 23 May 2025\, 7.30pm\nSaturday 24 May 2025\, 2.30pm\nSaturday 24 May 2025\, 7.30pm

Built for women.” \nNew Year’s Eve\, 1959. \nMany years after answering the call\, two women separated by the war meet again as the rain hammers down on the windows of The Spitfire pub. \nAs we hear their story\, we’re transported back to a time when female pioneers defied expectations and soared through the skies. \nFunny and heart-warming\, this is an untold story of strength\, courage and loss.
